Weather Fortune serves data from Open-Meteo with an optional WeatherAPI provider through an edge-cached API, and always shows the provider and update time under the forecast so you know how fresh it is.

No forecast is always right — weather is chaotic, so rain timing and amounts can shift. Treat 1–3 day forecasts as planning-grade, use the hourly rain bars and live radar for go/no-go decisions, and always heed official severe-weather alerts shown at the top of the forecast card.

A 70% rain chance (precipitation probability) means that under similar conditions it rained about 7 times out of 10 — not a guarantee, but rain is likely. On Weather Fortune, 40% or higher means rain likely, under 20% means likely dry, and anything between is a slight chance. The 24-hour summary tells you plainly, for example rain likely from 3PM with a peak of 70%.

Temperature is how hot or cold the air is, shown here as the big number on the forecast card with a feels-like value that factors in wind and humidity. Each day also shows its high, low and intraday swing, and you can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit any time from the top bar.

Feels-like (apparent temperature) adjusts the thermometer reading for wind and humidity: strong wind makes cold days feel colder (wind chill) and high humidity makes hot days feel hotter (heat index). Weather Fortune shows it next to the actual temperature so you know how to dress, not just what the thermometer says.

Weather radar detects precipitation by bouncing radio waves off raindrops and snowflakes. On Weather Fortune the live radar page shows this as moving coloured blobs on a weather map centred on your city, so you can watch rain and snow approach in real time.

Rain radar is a live precipitation map: blue and green shades mean light rain, yellow and red mean heavy rain or storms. Weather Fortune embeds a free RainViewer rain radar that recentres on whichever city you pick — no API key or download needed.

No. Viewing a weather radar map on this website is completely harmless — your phone only displays map images, it emits no radar waves itself. Real weather radars are large, distant installations operated within strict safety limits.

AQI is the Air Quality Index, a 0–500 scale for how clean or polluted the air is: 0–50 Good, 51–100 Moderate, 101–150 Unhealthy for sensitive groups, 151–200 Unhealthy, 201–300 Very unhealthy. High AQI days can mean smog, haze, dust or smoke — limit outdoor exertion when values climb.

Rain Dodge is a Chrome-dino style runner about surviving the weather. Plain mode is pure dodge: move left and right and jump to slip through falling raindrops, levelling up every 12 seconds with no speed cap. Classic mode adds a 5-hit umbrella shield after level 10, wind hurdles you must jump, instant-kill lightning bolts after level 20, and a golden umbrella after level 35 that blocks 2 bolts.

You are watching location-aware weather news: every time you pick a city, the news section fetches headlines for those coordinates and ranks the nearest hazards first, each labelled with its distance (for example 120 km away). Sources are the US National Weather Service and GDACS global disaster alerts.

It does not cover non-weather emergencies like traffic or police incidents.

Broadcast builds a radio-style script from the forecast of the city you picked — today, tomorrow or any of the next 7 days, brief (~20s) or detailed (~45s), with optional news headlines — then reads it aloud in your browser using free SpeechSynthesis. Translation to 13 languages goes through our cached translate API so no keys are exposed, and each language auto-picks a matching voice.

It sounds as good as your device voices allow: pick the voice and speed (0.7x–1.4x) you like, and try Chrome or Edge for the widest voice choice.
